My Favourite Spots

Having been living with Mommy and Daddy for three months now, I have pretty much explored every corner of the house. There are a few places which have became my favourite spot to monitor what's going on or just lie down to relax.

Spot #1: On top of the speaker
Reason: One of the highest places in the house (that I'm allowed to jump onto), close to the TV

Hey, don't I look just like my father Dexter?

Spot #2: The leather armchair
Reason: Comfy, leather furniture - which cat wouldn't like that?

Spot #3: By the window
Reason: Outdoor view, large area for me to sleep in any position

As you can see, I'm getting really sleepy

I love to watch hockey. I especially love to watch Team Canada hockey!

It was the opening game of men's hockey at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics: Canada vs Norway.

I watched when Canada scored...

I even watched Iginla and Crosby chatting on the bench...

I saw Iginla's hat trick...

Final score: Canada won 8-0!

Cat Tunnel

Mommy and Daddy recently bought some cat tunnels from Ikea. At first they were unsure whether I'd actually use it, but that was a needless concern because I got addicted to it instantly.

Add a McPOC and it becomes the most exciting game ever!

I hide inside and when Mommy or Daddy walks by, I quickly jump out to grab their legs. It's super fun to catch them off guard!

My Brother

This is my brother Spencer. At least that was his name back at Boreal. Just like how I used to be callled Moris.

He recently wrote a letter to Boreal. He is now living in Quebec with his new family. He is learning French and has a new name called Euclide! Bonjour Euclide!

This Is Cool

I found a new hiding place. It's really COOL!

I found all kinds of food in there. That yellow thing is a cheesecake Mommy made for her friends. It is sitting in the freezer because Daddy forgot to put it in the fridge the night before.

I had to come out because Mommy said I'm not allowed to play inside anymore. It's all Daddy's fault.

After Two Weeks

I've been living with Mommy and Daddy for two weeks now. See how relaxed I am at home? I just eat, sleep, and play all day. Life is good!

Mouse vs. McPOC

As I mentioned before, I love playing with the McPOC.

Well, today I was introduced to a new toy - the Mouse.

I was forced to choose between McPOC and Mouse. While the McPOC was hopping around my paw and wanting the play, the Mouse was not being very responsive.

In the end, I took the McPOC and left the Mouse behind. I have to say, this was the most difficult decision I have to make in my life (so far).

When I was at living with my parents at Boreal, one of the things my mother Cherie taught me was how to relax in a crystal cat bed.

I Have Visitors

I met some friends of Mommy and Daddy's last night.

She was wearing something on her head with these hanging pom-pom thingies. They were a lot of fun to play with.

I got so tired after a while.

Then I found their backpacks with all these straps to play with.

I made an important discovery today: how to turn on the PS3 with just the touch of a paw. Now, I can help Daddy turn it on all the time, even when he's not using it.

What I Like to Eat

I was so busy exploring my new place during the first few days, I didn't have time to concentrate on food. Mommy and Daddy were worried because, as I am a growing kitten, I'm supposed to be eating a lot. Well, after doing so much running around the house, I started feeling pretty hungry. Now, I'm really looking forward to my meals. Mommy added chicken breast in there to make it extra yummy!

Sometimes, I prefer the plastic wrap instead.

I also like take-outs.

Mommy gave me this new toy. She says it's a milk carton pull-off cap (M-C-P-O-C). I call it the McPOC. I just love playing with it. Every time I chase it down, it bounces away from me! I think the McPOC is totally wicked!

Boreal Meko

Hi, my name is Meko. I was born on September 10, 2009 at Boreal Cattery. We came from a fine pedigree of British Shorthair cats. Our parents are both champions in many international cat shows. I have two brothers, Spencer and William, and a sister, Lizzie. Naturally, I'm the cutest one.

This is my father, Kaloofa Downunder Dexter. He came all the way from Australia. He's one good-looking dude! When I grow up, I wanna look just like him.

And here is my beautiful mother, Ouachita Cherie of Boreal. She taught me how to be a good boy. I got my purrfectly sweet personality from her.

I spent the first 12 weeks of my life at Boreal with Guy, Natalie, and my parents. Guy and Natalie are my parents' Mommy and Daddy. They took excellent care of us kittens. Today I am leaving Boreal to start living with my new Mommy and Daddy. I will be posting tons of pictures here so everyone at Boreal can see what I've been up to and how much I've grown. Guy, Natalie, and my parents will be so proud of me!
